Dr. Rustico B. Balderian, President and Founder, and his wife Lourdes E. Balderian
The Colegio de Sta. Lourdes of Leyte Foundation, Inc. was founded in 2003 by Dr. Rustico B. Balderian, to provide a means of tertiary education to the people of his hometown, Tabontabon, and the surrounding area. Over the years, the Colegio has attracted students from all over the region, not only because of its reputation but also for its scholarship offering. Colegio de Sta. Lourdes offers scholarships in Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship. The school provides free tuition and free dormitory for those who qualify. Every semester, students must maintain a specified general weighted average and must meet other grade requirements in order to keep their scholarship.
